Tour the Alhambra
Granada, Spain
A stunning Moorish palace rich with history and art.
View on Google MapsWhy It's Epic
The Alhambra is like stepping into a storybook from medieval Islamic Spain. This 13th-century palace-fortress complex features some of the finest Moorish architecture in the world - intricate geometric carvings, peaceful courtyards with reflecting pools, and gardens designed as earthly paradises.
Perched on a hill overlooking Granada with the Sierra Nevada mountains behind, the location is as stunning as the architecture. The Nasrid Palaces are the highlight, with the Court of the Lions and Hall of the Ambassadors leaving visitors speechless.
The complex also includes the Alcazaba fortress, Generalife gardens, and Charles V's Renaissance palace. Plan at least half a day to see everything properly.
Pro tip: Book tickets weeks in advance - especially for the Nasrid Palaces, which have timed entry slots that sell out. You'll be assigned a 30-minute entry window; miss it and you're out of luck. Evening visits are magical but even harder to get. The Albaicín neighborhood across the valley has great sunset views of the Alhambra.
